ADVERTISING DEPARTMENT.

THE STATE MUTUAL LIFE ASSURANCE COMPANY,

OF WORCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS.

INCORPORATED 1844.

THIS COMPANY IS PURELY MUTUAL.

It has no stockholders, as many falsely called Mutual Companies have, to take the lion's share of the income. All its assets and all its income are the property of the policy-holders alonc.

It has a Cash Fund of $1,000,000, aud a large surplus over and above all liabilities.

The Massachusetts Law gives perfect security to the policy-holders, and makes every policy issued absolutely NON-FORFEITABLE; securing to every person all the insurance he pays for. CH. 186, LAWS 1861.

IT IS BETTER THAN A SAVINGS BANK.

If for any cause the annual premium is not paid at the time when due, the Company will continue the insurance according to Massachusetts law; or, at the option of the assured, will cither pay back the surrender value of the assurance, or will give a PAID- UP POLICY for such proportion of the original policy as the assured has paid for.

Economy is the great feature of this Company. THE STATE MUTUAL LIFE ASSURANCE COMPANY uses in expenses less of every hundred dollars paid in than any other of the six Massachusetts Life Companies, and less than any one of forty- five Life Companies from other States doing business in Massachusetts. See Mass. Ins. Com. Rep., 1869.

All its surplus is divided among its policy-holders annually, on the contribution plan, beginning with the second premium on every policy.

THE STATE MUTUAL LIFE IS A CASH COMPANY.

The interest on the Invested funds of the State Mutual Life Assurance Company for the last fifteen years has more than paid all the losses by death during that period.

This fact shows the great prosperity and success of this Company, although it is not as large as many others, because its business has been restricted almost exclusively to New England, while that of other Companies has been extended almost over the whole country.

How shall I know which is the best Company ? By inquiring of the thousands of honest men who are insured in this, they will tell you that

The State Mutual Life Assurance Company,

OF WORCESTER, MASS.,

is one of the oldest, safest, and most economical Companies in the United States ; and, consequently, the cheapest in which to insure.

ACTIVE AND RELIABLE CANVASSERS WANTED.
