daily average of 47 children present, to take advantage of this project.

The Little League playing field was made over the filter bed to put this land back into use and not disturb the large baseball field. Loam and seed had to be bought for this job. The field was leveled and rolled. A fence was erected in the outfield without cost to the Town. The field behind the fence was seeded and developed into two Volley ball courts and four Badmitten courts, two Horse Shoe courts.

The Swings and Teeters were moved to the rear of the Bleachers so the children would not get hurt during the baseball games. A large sandbox was installed in this area by the Lions Club, this was used most of the time by the small children. A bench was also installed for the use of mothers waiting for the children at play.

A Gridiron was laid out at the rear of the large field, this was used last fall by the local team with much enjoy- ment. Goal posts were erected and the field layed out with the help of the boys of the football team. Thanks Boys.

On account of the heavy rain fall this past year, there was the extra heavy growth of grass that took more man- hours to mow and keep in shape. We feel that Mr. Gilmore did a splendid job.

We at this time wish to thank the towns people for their interest, the School Committee for use of the school facilities for supervised play, and the Lions Club for their financial aid to make the project possible.

Respectfully submitted, GEORGE STEVENS, Chairman MERRILL B. SMITH, Clerk GEORGE CURRIER ALEXANDER SULLIVAN HENRY D. LAY
