Report of Committee
APPOINTED TO PURCHASE MARKERS FOR THE GRAVES OF THE SOLDIERS OF THE COLONIAL WARS, THE WAR OF THE REVOLUTION AND THE WAR OF 1812. 1
The committee appointed by the town to purchase markers for the soldiers of the wars above mentioned would report the purchase of markers for the dead of the war of the Revolution. The Colonial markers were not adopted and placed on the market until the latter part of January, too late to order for this year and those for 1812 cannot be obtained until a complete record of the soldiers is fur- nished in each case, to an official of the society having the ordering of the prescribed marker in charge.
The committee ask for an appropriation of $60 to effect this pur- chase, when the necessary knowledge is obtained.

Cemetery Commissioners' Report.
FOR THE YEAR ENDING FEBRUARY 15, 1911.
In submitting their annual report the Cemetery Commissioners would call attention to the increased interest in the work of this department as shown by the large receipts for grading and the erection of memorials.
The lots in the addition to the Four Corners cemetery have been surveyed and bounds have been located, a much-needed work.
While there is need of a new fence at Four Corners and improve- ments at Three Rivers and Palmer Center the necessary funds received for labor came so late that these improvements could not be made to advantage and so must remain until another year. If the board can receive this money by appropriation early in the season, it can accomplish the work and be able to return it to the town treasury at the end of the year. With a few additional improve- ments called for by the plans and the building of waterways, and the replacing of old fences the cemeteries will be in a situation where they can be cared for by the receipts without encroaching on the tax levy. Since its beginning the cemetery at Palmer has never borne a name, its only designation being "The Depot Village Cemetery." Believing that it is worthy of a name more in keeping with its purpose the board of Cemetery Commissioners have named it " Oak Knoll Cemetery," and respectfully recommend the adoption of this name by the town.
