Report of Town Accountant

In compliance with the provisions of Section 61, Chap- ter 41, of the General Laws, I submit herewith my re- port as Town Accountant for the year ending Decem- ber 31, 1957.

The records of receipts and expenditures showing sources and purposes respectively, together with the statement of Town Debt, Trust Funds, Trial Balances and Balance Sheet will be found on the following pages.

Departmental examinations have been made during the year and I again respectfully request that all de- partments receiving monies for the Town turn them over promptly and at least once a month to the Town Treas- urer. This practice is essentially necessary for the lessen- ing of the time and reducing the amount of monies to be borrowed in Anticipation of Revenue.

I again wish to express my sincere thanks to all Town Officials for their cooperation.

Respectfully submitted,

WARREN E. MCAVOY,

Town Accountant
