Al a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the Town of leverett qualified to rate in elections assembled at the town hall agreeable To the foregoing Warrant & passed the following rates to wit Close Silas Ball Moderator to preside in said meeting Voled to accept of the drings of the Selectionen in trying out a private way on petition of thrones Morton agreeable to a voli of the town on the 6th of April last post


Here follows the doings of the Salutimen- We the Selecmen of the town of Leverett- have laid out for the use of Chanancy. Morton a private way as follows Begining of the west end of a stone wall a little north Easterly of Chauny Morton's Sawmill running North 13º 50' West 68% roels on lance of Amos of Fra Wilson's- then continuing the same course through land of Timothy hices 31% rods to a stoke marked _ thence North 25° C. 6 rocks a links to a while pine bree thence, S. 500 90: 8. 13 rods to a stake .- Thence North 2° E. 16 rods to a stake, which stands south 50° West 2 rods of 4 lentes from a white tople staddle marked on the north side of the highway leading to Shutes bury - making all on land of the said kill 66% hors said private way to be two rods wide and to lie on the Westarly side of said course And we have awarded to the owners of the land over which said way passes for their damages as follows -to the said Amos & ofra seven dollars- and to the said Trice five dollars and fifty cents to be paid by the said town of Leverett before said way is open - and we allowed the movers of the land aforesaid two months to take off the wood standing + growing thereon - which said way is hereby reported to the town for their acceptance, and when accepted and recorded is forever after to be known as a provate way Dated at Leverett this 20th day of Ort- 1846 Asa L.
