The Weymouth Savings Bank has discontinued their collections in the Braintree and South Braintree Schools, and would appreciate it very much if the pupils who still hold folders with money on them would bring them to the Bank to be credited to their bank books or collect the money.

BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS BRAINTREE, MASS. Precinct 1
French's Common was kept clean and mowed every week. Sand boxes were filled and repaired; swings were in use all summer and kept in repair. No repairs were made on Hol- lingsworth Playground. The hay was given in exchange for labor and the grounds were in good condition during the season.
Precinct 2
Hollis Field, where band concerts were held during the summer months :
New sand box made for the children.
Temporary ball field laid out for the Sunset League. Fourteen hundred dollars contributed by the Hollis Field As- sociation for the purpose of laying out and building an ath- letic and ball field, is about three-fourths finished. The Hollis Field Association has contributed eight hundred dol- lars more this year, and we are in hopes to finish and have the field ready for the 1923 season.
Precinct 3
Necessary improvements were made on the Commercial Street Playground such as filling in holes, rearranging the baseball diamond, repairing swings and sand boxes. The grass was mowed and the field kept in good playing condition throughout the season. Nothing was done in the way of im- provements on the playground on Quincy Avenue.

REPORT OF THE NURSING DEPARTMENT
To the citizens of Braintree :
It is with pleasure I present the first report of the Nurs- ing Department of the Town of Braintree.
Since April 17, 1922, when the department was first started, the following work has been accomplished: As it was necessary for a headquarters, a room was assigned to the department, where first aid work and dressings can be per- formed. Here is also a center where the townspeople can obtain health literature, helpful information and advice.
The room is equipped with a standard scales, first aid couch, bedside screen, medicine cabinet, electric stove, dress- ing tables, stretcher, filing cabinet, large supply cabinet, desk and chairs.
It is hoped that during the ensuing year, some needed supplies will be added to the department so that more efficient work can be accomplished.
Up to the time of writing several hundreds of patients have been visited, cases have been referred to doctors, patients have been taken to Tewksbury, first aid has been taught to Girl Scouts, visits were made to the Braintree Home, nurses were supplied to families, office advice has been given, supplies have been loaned to patients, pre-natal education has been given, educational posters were displayed, investigations were made regarding entrance of patients to Norfolk County Hos- pital, several families were benefited by gifts of clothing do- nated to the department, and instructive literature has been submitted to the press.
It is the hope of the writer that much helpful work can go forth from this department, and helpfulness known as public health work, whereby education regarding prevention of illnesses, clinics and hygiene in its broadest sense may be taught, as advocated by the State Board of Health.
Respectfully submitted,
MARION E. LEARY, R.N.

REPORT OF THE PLANNING BOARD.
During the year, the Planning Board considered one proposed layout or real estate development, and has recom- mended that the Town take steps to eliminate the bad corner at the junction of Liberty, Union and Commercial streets, and a part of the curve in Union street, west of that point. The Board is also working on a proposition for an improve- ment in the conditions at the corner of Washington and Pond streets, and hopes to be able to have its report thereon in the hands of the Selectmen prior to the Annual Meeting. It was also felt that an eventual widening of Washington street, from Hollis avenue to Capen's bridge, was advisable, and at our suggestion a petition has been filed with the County Commissioners requesting a layout with that in view.
The Chairman has represented the Town at various State conferences on town planning, and your Board en- dorses the proposal for a Metropolitan Planning Board or Commission, and will be so recorded at the hearing thereon.
Respectfully submitted, CHARLES O. MILLER, Chairman. MERTON L. EMERSON. JONATHAN W. FRENCH, Secretary.
