In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Braintree qualified to vote in elections therein, to meet at the polling places in their respective Precincts, to wit :

On Tuesday, the seventh day of November, 1922, at 5.45 o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to bring in to the Wardens of their respective Precincts their votes on the of- ficial ballot for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Attorney General, Senator in Congress, Congressman, Councillor, Senator, 1 Representative in Gen- eral Court, 1 County Commissioner for a term of 4 years, 1 County Commissioner to fill vacancy, 2 Associate County Commissioners, District Attorney, Clerk of the Courts, Reg- ister of Deeds.
Also to vote on the following questions on the same ballot :
Acceptance of the following "Proposed Amendment to the Constitution : Article of Amendment. Article XLVIII of the Amendments to the Constitution is hereby amended by striking out, in that part entitled 'II. Emergency Meas- ures,' under the heading 'The Referendum,' the words 'A. separate vote shall be taken on the preamble by call of the yeas and nays, which shall be recorded, and unless the pre- amble is adopted by two-thirds of the members of each House voting thereon, the law shall not be an emergency law; but' and substituting the following :- , A separate vote, which shall be recorded, shall be taken on the preamble, and unless the preamble is adopted by two-thirds of the members of each House voting thereon, the law shall not be an emergency law. Upon the request of two members of the Senate or of five members of the House of Representatives, the vote on the preamble in such branch shall be taken by call of the yeas and nays. But

Town of Braintree, qualified to vote in Town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall, in said Braintree,
On Monday, the 13th day of November, 1922, at seven forty-five o'clock in the evening, to act on the following arti- cles, namely :
Article 1. To hear and act upon the report of any com- mittee and to choose any committee the Town may think proper.
Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sum of money from one subdivision of the School appropria- tion to another subdivision of the School appropriation as recommended by the School Board or take any action relative thereto.

Article 2. Voted, unanimously that the School Com- mittee be authorized to use unexpended balances heretofore raised and appropriated for the support of the Public Schools under specific items, for such other items of School expendi- ture as may seem best in their judgment.
