Mr. Miller submitted the report of the "Committee on Building Laws: Motion to accept the report; that said committee be retained and that the Select- men are hereby instructed to insert in the warrant of the Annual Town Meeting of March 1924 an article calling for the adoption of Section 3 of Chapter 143 of the General Laws. Also an Article to provide for an amendment to the Town By-Laws to adopt the recommendation of your Building Laws Committee. Motion carried.

The southeast point of the taking of said proposed Street. being ninety-one (91) feet southerly from the present Mo- natiquot School property, measuring in the East line of said proposed Street and that the sum of $1,800.00* be raised and appropriated to pay for same.


Article 63. Taken from the table:


Voted, that the Town thru its Board of Selectmen take . by eminent domain, for Park purposes, a tract of land at the corner of Washington and Pond Streets known as the Dyer- property, being Lots 3, 4, and 5 on plan of land in Braintree Mass., made by George H. Wetherbee, Jr., C. E. dated August 25, 1920 and that the sum of $2,000.00* be raised and appropriated to pay for the same.


Motion of Mr. Lakin to reconsider above vote. (Not carried.)


Voted on motion of Mr. Hannaford that the Committee . appointed last year to confer with the Trustees of The Eastern Mass., Street R. R. in regard to the South Braintree- Randolph Line, be granted further time.

Pursuant to the foregoing warrant, I hereby notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Braintree, qualified as expressed therein, to meet at the time and place mentioned for the purposes therein mentioned.

Mrs. Quimby moved that the Town appropriate the sum of $1550.00 in addition to the $350.00 already appropriated, making $1900.00 for the expenses of the District or Town Nurse, to be divided as follows: $200.00 for supplies; $300.00 for the upkeep of the car and the balance of $1,400.00 for salary.


Mr. Kneeland moved that said sum be applied to the credit of the Board of Health budget, to be spent under their direction, amendment not carried.


After a lengthy and spirited debate a vote was taken on the motion of Mrs. Quimby, and the same was defeated by a large majority.


At 10:30 p.m., meeting adjourned, without date.
