IPSWICH TOWN REPORT

Report of The Trustees of Memorial Building

To the Citizens of Ipswich :

During the year of 1946 the trustees have met for the discussion of problems as they have arisen.

Emergency repairs have been taken care of, but the work of painting and redecorating the building has been postponed in the hope that local labor will be available for the work.

The financial statement of the operation of the building will be found in the report of the Town Accountant. There is an unexpended balance resulting from inadvisability of doing the work for which it was appropriated. The work of painting should be completed as soon as reasonable and there will be a request for an appropriation in the budget for this purpose.

The board sincerely regrets to record here the resigna- tion as a trustee of Walter E. Hayward. Mr. Hayward has given of his time, experiences, and good judgment, as a member of the board since the completion of the building. The Trustees wish to express to Walter Hayward, at this time, sincere appreciation of his valuable service on this board for a period of 25 years. We recognize the fact that his good judgment, initiative, and sincere interest mean much to Ipswich.
