To see if the Town will vote to accept sev- enteen cemetery perpetual care funds, amounting to $3,750 received and deposited in the Plymouth Federal Savings and Loan Association, and one cemetery perpetual care fund, amounting to $200 received and deposited in the Plymouth Savings Bank, all deposited in the year 1957 in accordance with the usual votes of the Cemetery Commissioners and Selectmen and listed as New Funds in the Town Report.
The Committee recommends favorable action.

Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to accept Chap- ter 427 of the Acts of 1957, an Act increasing the amount of pensions of certain retired police officers and firefighters.

Police Officers and Firefighters, who joined the Contributory Retirement System, retire as though they were five years older than their actual age and as though they had worked five years longer than they have actually worked.
The Committee feels that there should be no further differ- ential between their pensions and those of other town em- ployees.
Voted: That the Town take no action under Article 20.
Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to convey to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the sum of $1.00 Lot 41 of Plat 27 of the Assessors' Plans located at the junction of South Street and Obery Street, for State Highway purposes.
The Committee recommends favorable action.
The Planning Board has approved this action.
Voted (Unanimously): That the Town authorize the Board of Selectmen to convey to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the sum of $1.00 a parcel of land in Plym- outh being a portion of Lot 41 of Plat 27 of the Assessors' Plans and shown as Lot A on a plan entitled "Town of Plym- outh Land on Obery Street, Scale 1" = 40', January 25, 1958, Edward Chase, Town Engineer," for use by the Massachusetts Department of Public Works.
Article 22. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $500 for the purchase of the tempo- rary sanitaries located on the waterfront from the Common- wealth of Massachusetts; said appropriation to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen.

Mr. James Frazier moved to amend the motion of Mr. Bubbins by the following: That the Town raise and appro- priate the sum of $500 for the purchase of the temporary sani- taries located on the waterfront from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and it was so voted.
Article 23. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purpose of acquiring by purchase or taking by eminent domain a parcel of land 150 feet in width containing approximately 3.8 acres adjoining the Plymouth Airport on the east; to be used for airport purposes.
The Committee recommends an appropriation of $150.
The Planning Board has approved this action.
Voted (Unanimously): That the Town raise and appro- priate $150 for the purpose of acquiring by purchase for air- port purposes a parcel of land in the Town of Plymouth, lo- cated on the easterly side of the Plymouth Airport, 150 feet in width and containing approximately 3.8 acres, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a concrete bound which bears S 38°27'51" E from and is distant 1,220.00 feet from a concrete bound in the southeasterly line of South Meadow Road, which latter bound marks the beginning point of Tract No. 2 described in the instrument of transfer from the United States of America to the Town of Plymouth dated June 25, 1956 and recorded in Book 2517, Page 8, at the Plym- outh County Registry of Deeds; thence N 51°32'09" E 300.00 feet to a concrete bound; thence N 38°27'51" W 100.00 feet to a concrete bound; thence N 51°32'09" E 800.00 feet to a concrete bound, the last mentioned three courses being by land of the Town of Plymouth; thence S 38°27'51" E 150.00 feet to a concrete bound; thence S 51°32'09" W 800.00 feet to a concrete bound; thence S 38°27'51" E 100.00 feet to a concrete bound; thence S 51°32'09" W 300.00 feet to a concrete bound; thence N 38°27'51" W 150.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from unappropriated available funds

in the Treasury, a sum of money for Chapter 90 Highway Construction and Chapter 90 Maintenance or take any action in relation thereto.
The Committee recommends an appropriation of $74,000, the Town's share amounting to $18,850 from the tax levy, the state and County's shares amounting to $55,150 from Free Cash.

To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $4,000 to be spent in conjunction with sums to be provided by the State or County, or both, for the construction of waterfront protection at Manomet Bluffs and that to meet said appropriation the sum of $2,000 to be ap- propriated from the tax levy of the current year and $2,000 from money in the Town Treasury received from abutters; the Town to assume liability as provided by Section 29, Chap- ter 91 of the General Laws, as amended, for all damages in- curred hereunder.
The Committee recommends an appropriation of $4.000, provided $2,000 of this appropriation is deposited with the Town Treasurer by the abutters before town meeting. The total estimated cost of this project is $16,000, $8,000 to be allotted by the Commonwealth and $4,000 by the County.

quire by eminent domain two parcels of land for school pur- poses.
The Committee recommends that Articles 30 and 31 be taken up as one article.
The 1956 action referred to in Article 30 authorized the Town to purchase two parcels of land, one for an elementary school and one for a secondary school. Present plans con- template only the use of Parcel A, therefore your Committee recommends rescinding that portion of the vote under Arti- cle 81 of the 1956 annual town meeting which refers to the description of land and substituting therefor the description of Parcel A alone, as referred to in Article 31, negotiations with the several owners of the property involved to be the responsibility of the School Committee.

To see if the Town will authorize the Se- lectmen to purchase or acquire by eminent domain a parcel of land containing 50.56 acres on Braley Lane shown as Par- cel A on plan entitled "Town of Plymouth, Plan of Proposed Sites for Future Schools, Scale 1" = 100 feet, March 20, 1956, Delano & Keith, Surveyors, Plymouth, Mass." filed with the Town Clerk and make an appropriation for land and prop- erty damages and expenses for acquiring titles.

Voted: That the Town rescind so much of the action taken under Article 82 of the 1956 Annual Town Meeting as refers to Parcel B, as shown on a plan entitled "Town of Plymouth, Plan of Proposed Sites for Future Schools, Scale 1" = 100', Delano & Keith, Surveyors, Plymouth, Mass.," filed with the Town Clerk, and so much of said action as pertains to the acquisition by eminent domain of Parcel A as shown on said plan; that the negotiations for the purchase of said Parcel A be conducted under the supervision of the School Committee and that the Selectmen be authorized to acquire said Parcel A in its entirety, by purchase and not by eminent domain, and as amended by Mr. Paul Whipple, said purchase to be made on or before July 1, 1958.
Article 32. To see if the Town will vote to accept from Miss Mary E. Bacon, Mrs. Arthur L. Freeland, Mrs. Henry F. Parmenter and Mrs. Harold O. Woolley a gift of .91 acres

of land west of and adjacent to the Manomet Elementary School lot, being a portion of lot 37 on Assessors' Plan No. 45.
The Committee recommends favorable action.
The Planning Board has approved acquisition of this land by the town.
Voted: That the Town accept as a gift, for municipal purposes, from Miss Mary E. Bacon, Mrs. Arthur L. Freeland, Mrs. Henry F. Parmenter and Mrs. Harold O. Woolley, a parcel of land situated in Plymouth, in that part known as Manomet, northwesterly of Manomet Point Road, so-called, containing approximately .91 acres, west of and adjacent to the Manomet Elementary School lot, being a portion of Lot 37 of Plat 45 of the Assessors' Plans, bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the northeasterly corner thereof, at an iron pipe, said iron pipe marking the most northwesterly cor- ner of the Manomet School lot and said iron pipe also marking a point in the southwesterly line of Lot 116 as shown on a plan entitled "Plan of Manomet Heights, Plymouth, Mass., Scale 1" = 30 feet, September 1, 1949, Delano & Keith, Surveyors"; thence running by said Man- omet School lot S 11°11'40" 484.11 feet to land of Alan W. Ferris et ux; thence turning and running by land of said Ferris N 75°25'30" W 86.44 feet; thence turning and run- ning by a line which is the extension of the westerly side- line of Beach Street as shown on said plan N 12°10'30" E 484.28 feet to a point marking the most southwesterly corner in the terminus of said Beach Street, said point also marking the southeasterly corner of Lot 115 as shown on said plan; thence turning and running by said Beach Street, and by a portion of Lot 116 as shown on said plan S 74°59'10" E 78.18 feet to the point of beginning.
Article 33. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board of Selectmen to purchase 1.91 acres of land west of and adjacent to the Manomet Elementary School lot, be- ing a portion of Lot 29 on Assessors' Plan No. 45 and to raise and appropriate $1,100 for land and property damages and expenses of acquiring titles.
The Committee recommends an appropriation of $1,100, $900 for purchase and $200 for expenses of acquiring titles.
