of money as may be necessary for the current expenses of the Town, giving the notes of the Town therefor, payable within one year from dates thereof.
ART. 7. To see if the Town will authorize and direct the Treasurer, with the approval of a majority of the Selectmen to borrow money upon the notes of the Town, duly authenticated, to meet the appropriations voted at the Annual Meeting for nineteen hundred and ten (1910) or any adjourment thereof.
ART. 8. To see what amount of bonds will be required of the Town Treasurer for the ensuing year.
ART. 9. To see what amount of bonds will be required of the Collector of Taxes for the year ensuing.
ART. 10. To see what amount of bonds will be required of the Water Commissioners the present year.
ART. II. To see what action the Town will take in regard to the collection of taxes, and what rate of discount, if any, will be allowed for prompt payment on or before a certain date.
ART. 12. To see what action the Town will take in relation to salaries for Town officials for the ensuing year.
ART. 13. To see if the Town will vote to elect its Selectmen in the following manner, such vote to become operative at the Annual Meeting for the year nineteen hundred and eleven (1911) : One for the term of one (1) year, one for the term of two (2) years, one for the term of three (3) years, and at each Annual Meeting thereafter one for the term of three (3) years.
ART. 14. To see if the Town will accept Sections four (4) to twelve (12) inclusive of chapter 104 of the Revised Laws in relation to appointing an Inspector of Buildings, as recommended by the Selectmen.

ART. 15. To see what action the Town will take in accept- ing the provisions of Section 37, Chapter 19 of the Revised Laws of Massachusetts, so far as said section applies to all permanent firemen of this Town, as petitioned for by George E. Smith and others.
ART. 16. To see what action the Town will take in relation to the purchase of the Ellen A. Collins property on Rock avenue and make an appropriation for same.
ART. 17. To see what action the Town will take in relation to the purchase of the M. D. Porter property on the corner of Burrill street and Thomas road and make an appropriation for same.
ART. 18. To see if the Town will vote to secure, by pur- chase or by taking, land adjoining the present Redington Street School site, comprising the Wiley and Chick properties, and erect thereon a sixteen-room School Building with Assembly Hall and Offices, appropriate money for the same and determine how the money to meet said appropriation shall be raised ; or to see if the Town will take any action with relation thereto, as petitioned for by S. Perry Congdon and others.
ART. 19. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000) for alterations on Phillips School Building as recommended by the School Committee and authorize the Treasurer with the approval of a majority of the Selectmen to borrow that sum to meet said appropriation.
ART. 20. To see if the Town will vote to employ an expert accountant to examine the books and accounts of the different departments, and to suggest what changes, if any, should be made in the systems now in use, as petitioned for by Walter W. Johnson and others.

ART. 21. To see if the Town will vote, that all checks or amounts drawn against the Sinking Funds, shall be countersigned by all the Commissioners, and that all investments made by the said Commissioners shall be registered in the name of the Sink- ing Fund Commissioners of the Town of Swampscott, Mass., as petitioned for by Walter W. Johnson and others.
ART. 22. To see what action the Town will take with rela- tion to the recommendations of the Selectmen as contained in the Annual Report February 1, 1910, of the Town, pages 78, 82, 84, 85, 86, 87 and 93.
ART. 23. To see if the Town will vote to accept Fuller avenue, so called, as laid out by the Selectmen and shown on plan drawn by Fred H. Eastman, Town Engineer, dated December 28, 1909, filed with the Town Clerk, January 7, 1910, appropriate the sum of fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500), therefor, and authorize the Treasurer with the approval of a majority of the Selectmen to borrow that sum to meet said appropriation, the abutter on the line of said avenue having signed a waiver.
ART. 24. To see if the Town will vote to accept that portion of Bank's road, so called, as laid out by the Selectmen, and shown on plan, Section 1, drawn by Eastman & Bradford, Civil Engineers, dated September 18, 1908, and filed with the Town Clerk, October 2, 1908, as soon as the waivers are signed, and appropriate money for the same, and authorize the Treasurer with the approval of a majority of the Selectmen to borrow money to meet said appropriation.
ART 25. To see if the Town will vote to accept that portion of Banks road, so called, as laid out by the Selectmen, and shown on plan Section 2, drawn by Eastman & Bradford, Civil Engineers, dated September 18, 1908, and filed with the Town Clerk, October 2, 1908, as soon as the waivers are signed, appropriate money for the same, and authorize the Treasurer with the approval of a majority of the Selectmen to borrow money to meet said appropriation.

ART. 26. To see if the Town will by vote authorize the borrowing of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) or such other sum as it may be expedient to borrow or expend, for the purpose of laying and connecting drains and sewers within the streets and ways of the Town under Chapter 86, of the Acts of 1902, and under Chapter 401 of the Acts of 1903, or under either of said acts, the sum so borrowed to be used for such of the purposes authorized by either of said acts as the Town may by vote direct, and to rescind if deemed necessary, the vote heretofore passed authorizing the borrowing of three thousand dollars ($3,000) upon the vote of the Town, and another vote authorizing the borrowing of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) upon the bonds of the Town, which note and bonds have not been issued, as petitioned for by the Sewer Commissioners.
ART. 27. To see if the Town will by such vote or votes as may be necessary, and appropriate, authorize the issuing of bonds for any sum authorized to be borrowed under the last pre- ceding article, and if so, to prescribe the form, terms and condi- tions, of such bonds, the time for which they shall run, the rate of interest thereon, and pass any other vote necessary to enable the Town to issue and sell such bonds, as petitioned for by the Sewer Commissioners.
ART. 28. To see if the Town will accept the plan prepared by F. H. Eastman, Town Engineer, under the directon of the Sewer Commissioners, defining Section 3, in accordance with Chapter 401, Acts 1903 and instruct the Sewer Commissioners to assess the average price per foot on all sewer and drain con- nections in said Section 3, as petitioned for by the Sewer Com- missioners.
ART. 29. To see if the Town will vote to construct a sewer in Farragut road near the residences of Alex. McC. Currier and Sarah P. and Harriet F. Wyzanski and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by Alex. Mc. Currier and others.

ART. 30. To see if the Town will authorize the Board of Sewer Commissioners to have constructed a sewer from Burrill street, through Monument aveuue to Elmwood road and through Elmwood road to a point opposite the property of William G. Earp, and to appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by William G. Earp and others.
ART. 31. To see if the Town will construct a sewer for con- tinuation on Redington street, through Highland to King street, and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by Fred W. Newcomb and others.
ART. 32. To see if the Town will instruct the Sewer Com- missioners to build a short sewer on Devens road from the corner of Banks road and Redington Street to and connecting with the Walker road sewer and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by Henry B. Sprague and others.
ART. 33. To see what action the Town will take to extend the Sewer system from the junction of Eliott and Crescent streets through Crescent street and appropriate money to construct same or do anything in relation to the matter, as petitioned for by George C. Webster and others.
ART. 34. To see what action the Town will take with rela- tion to the recommendation of the Sewer Commissioners as con- tained in the Annual Report, Jan. 31, 1910 of the Town, page 165.
ART. 35. To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000) to be used for construction pur- poses in the Water Department, as petitioned for by the Water Commissioners, and to authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of a majority of the Selectmen, to borrow whatever amount may be necessary to meet said appropriation.

To see what action the Town will take, if any, to install a compressed air whistle to take the place of the steam fire whistle now in use and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by the Board of Fire Engineers, and to authorize the Treasurer, with the approval of a majority of the Selectmen to borrow whatever amount may be necessary to meet said appropriation.
ART. 38. To see if the Town will vote to erect and maintain a fire alarm box on Salem street and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by D. E. Allen and others.

ART. 40. To see what action the Town will take to increase the compensation of the Patrolmen of the permanent Police force and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by Edward A. Mansfield and others.
ART. 41. To see what action the Town will take to make provisions to have children of the Pleasant View district, who are unable to safely travel to and from the Clarke School, cared for elsewhere, as petitioned for by John J. Holland and others.
ART 42. To see what action the Town will take to abate the nuisance existing on Jessie street at the end of Tidd street, and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by Fred E. Russell and others.

ART. 44. To see what action the Town will take to erect and maintain an electric street light near the junction of Boyn- ton and Burrill streets, and appropriate money for the same, as petitioned for by N. F. Bartlett and others.
ART. 45. To see what action the Town will take, if any, towards granting a Saturday half holiday, with pay, for the employees of the Highway, Water, Sewer, Health, Cemetery and Moth Departments, from April Ist to October Ist of the current year, as petitioned for by Peter J. Blazer and others.
ART. 46. To see what action the Town will take to appro- priate a sum not exceeding two thousand dollars ($2,000) for the purchase of a hook and ladder truck, as petitioned for by the Committee appointed to purchase a ladder truck for the Fire Department, and to authorize the Treasurer with the approval of a majority of the Selectmen, to borrow whatever amount may be necessary to meet said appropriation.
ART. 47. To see what action the Town will take with relation to the recommendation of the Surveyor of Highways as contained in the Annual Report, January 31, 1910, of the Town, pages 168, 169, 171 and 172, and appropriate money for same.
ART. 48. To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of $5,000 for the suppression of the Gypsy and Brown Tail Moths, as required by the Commonwealth.
ART. 49. To see what action the Town wil take with rela- tion to the recommendation of the Park Commissioners, as con- tained in the Annual Report, January 31, 1910, of the Town, pages 143, 144, 145 and 148.
ART. 50. To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of $450 to issue the Assessors' Valuations of Estates in accordance with Chapter 3, Section 7 of the Town By-Laws.

ART. 55. 'To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of two hundred dollars ($200) to be placed in the hands of James L. Bates, Post 118, G. A. R., toward defraying the expenses of Memorial Day, as petitioned for by the Selectmen.
ART. 56. To appoint a Committee on Ways and Means in accordance with Chapter V Section I, of the revised By-Laws.

And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting attested copies thereof at the Town Hall, Depot, Post Office, and three other public and conspicuous places in the Town, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
