The Rabbi Robert Shapiro offered the Invocation.
The Moderator, Richard B. Johnson, appointed Howell E. Estey end Donald J. Warnock as tellers to serve at the Town Meeting and they were duly sworn in.
Except as otherwise indicated the ac- tion taken by the Town Meeting fol- lowed the recommendations of the Finance Committee. In some cases, the final recommendations of the Committee varied somewhat from the preliminary recommendations contained in the printed report.

A GENERAL
ARTICLE 2. To hear and act on the reports of Town Officials, Boards, and Committees.
Sponsored by the Board of Selectmen.
Voted: The reports of the Trans- portation Study Committee, Machon School Building Committee, High School Building Committee, Fire Apparatus Committee were read and accepted.
The report of the Beach Study Committee was read and accepted unanimous'y and the Committee was continued.
That the Moderator appoint a committee OTHER THAN THE FINANCE COMMITTEE to fur- ther study and to negotiate with the Massachusetts Electric Company the desirability of acquiring the B&M right of way along the aban- doned Marblehead branch, said com- mittee to report to the next Annual Town Meeting .:
ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Board of Select- men, to borrow money from time to time, in anticipation of the revenue for the financial year beginning January 1, 1964, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accord- ance with Section 17, Chapter 44, Gen- eral Laws.
Sponsored by the Board of Selectmen and the Town Treasurer.
Voted: That the Town authorize the Town Treasurer, with the ap- proval of the Board of Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue for the financial year beginning Janu- ary 1, 1963, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one
year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year, in accordance with Section 4, Chapter 44 of the General Laws. Unanimous.

ARTICLE 7. To see if the Town will authorize the Board of Assessors to ap- point a member of said Board to act as secretary thereof and receive pay there- for, as provided by Chapter 41, Section 4A of the General Laws (Ter. Ed.).

Voted: That the Town authorize the Board of Assessors to appoint a member of the Board to act as Sec- retary thereof and that the salary of the Secretary be fixed at $50.00 per year as provided by Section 4, Chapter 41, General Laws. The ap- propriation necessary to pay this salary having been provided for in Article 6. Unanimous.
