To either of the Constables of the Town of Weymouth, in said . . County, GREETING :
In the name of said Commonwealth you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth aforesaid, qualified to vote in elections and town affairs, to meet at the Town House in said town, on Friday, the sixth day of April next, at 3.30 o'clock in the afternoon, then and there to act on the following articles, viz. :-
ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator for said meeting.
· ART. 2. On petition of D. M. Easton and sixty-two others, " to see if the town will vote to pay to common laborers on town work not less than two dollars per day of ten hours, whether said work be let by contract or otherwise, and preference shall be given to : citizens of Weymouth.
And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested copies thereof in three public places in each ward in said town, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not, and make due return of this warrant, with your doings. thereon, to the Town Clerk, at or before the time of said meeting.
Given under our hands at Weymouth, this twenty-sixth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING.
April 6, 1888.
Pursuant to the foregoing warrant, a legal meeting of the inhabit- ants of the town of Weymouth was held at the Town Hall on Friday, April 6, 1888, the meeting being called to order and the warrant read by the Town Clerk at 3.30 o clock, P. M.
ARTICLE 1. D. M. Easton was elected Moderator by ballot, the check list being used in said election.
ART. 2. John A. Connell made the following motion : -
" That common laborers for the town be paid not less than $2 per day of ten hours, whether said work be let by contract or otherwise, and preference shall be given to citizens of Weymouth."
Chas. Hawes moved to amend the above by inserting, " that the Selectmen be instructed."
The Moderator appointed the following persons as Tellers, who were sworn by the Town Clerk : C. J. McMarrow, John A. Connell, N. D. Canterbury.
The Moderator then said, " All those in favor hold up their hands until counted by the Tellers " ; and they reported that " 138 voted in favor and one against," and the Moderator declared it a " unanimous vote."

WEYMOUTH, Oct. 31, 1888.
In accordance with Chap. 264, Sect. 13 of the Acts of 1886, I this day destroyed the ballots cast at the annual town election held March 5, 1888, " without examining them or permitting them to be examined by any person whatsoever."

In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of Weymouth, aforesaid,' qualified to vote in elections to meet at. the polling places in their respective precincts, to wit : In precincts numbered one, two, three, and five, in the halls of the fire engine houses located respectively in those precincts, and in precinct numbered four, in the Town Hall, on Tuesday, the sixth day of November next, at eight o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to bring in to the Wardens of their several precincts their votes on one ballot, for the following named public officers, to wit : -

For Representative in Congress. For Governor of the Commonwealth. For Lieutenant-Govenor.

CLERKS' DISTRICT MEETING.
The Town Clerk of Weymouth met the Town Clerk of Quincy, at Quincy, on Friday, Nov. 16, 1888, at twelve o'clock, the time and place appointed for the Clerks of the Fifth Norfolk District to meet to examine the returns of votes cast for Representative to General Court in said District, and after examining said returns found that Louis A. Cook, of Weymouth, John F. Merrill, and Warren W. Adams, of Quincy, were duly elected, and so certified according to law.
