ARTICLE 28. Moved: That such funds as may be secured by the Weymouth Salvage Committee be returned to the Treasury.

ARTICLE 29. Moved : That the Town raise and appropriate the sum of five-hundred fifty ($550.00) dollars for the purpose of maintaining during the ensuing year the mosquito control works as estimated and certified to by the State Reclamation Board in accordance with the pro- visions of Chapter 112, Acts of 1931. $550.00

ARTICLE 30. Moved: That the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $50.00 for a reprinting of pamphlet entitled "An Act to Provide for

Precinct voting, representative town meeting, town meeting members, a referendum, and an annual Moderator in the Town of Weymouth" (Chap- ter 61, Acts of 1921). $50.00


Mr. Lane moved to amend the motion of the Appropriation Committee to include after the amount of $50.00 the words "to be expended by the Town Clerk".


Mr. Lane's amendment was so voted.


Motion of the Appropriation Committee as offered by Mr. Lane was so voted.


ARTICLE 31. Moved: That the sum of $200.00 be raised and appro- priated to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen for the purpose of stocking the ponds and other inland waters within the Town, with fish and game, in accordance with Chapter 142 of the Acts of 1938 and amendments thereto. $200.00


Motion of the Appropriation Committee as offered by Mr. Lane was unanimously adopted.


ARTICLE 32. Moved: That the Town raise and appropriate the sum of $145.00 for reprinting the Town By-Laws and all amendments thereto. $145.00


Mr. Lane moved to amend the motion by adding "to be expended by the Selectmen." The amendment was so voted.


Mr. Lane further moved to amend the motion by adding the follow- ing: "but no such reprint shall be made or contracted for until after notice of final action has been received from the Attorney General of . the within proposed amendments to the by-laws.

CERTIFICATE OF CHOICE


Pursuant to a call of Town Clerk Julian R. Merchant a meeting of the Town Meeting Members of Precinct 2 was held Thursday evening, March 23, 1944, at the Town Hall for the purpose of electing by ballot two Town Meeting Members to fill vacancies. Sixteen Members were present.


Mr. John L. Gallant was elected Chairman and Mr. Thomas J. Kelly was elected Clerk.


Mr. Fred Webb asked unanimous consent that the Clerk cast one ballot for the election of Miss Olive D. Sylvester, 1267 Commercial Street, for the two year term as Town Meeting Member. It was unan- imously voted.


Miss Olive D. Sylvester asked unanimous consent that the Clerk cast one ballot for the election of Mr. Fred Webb, 60 Center Street, for the one year term as Town Meeting Member. It was unanimously voted. Miss Olive D. Sylvester and Mr. Fred Webb were elected.

Pursuant to a call of Town Clerk, Julian R. Merchant, a meeting of the Town Meeting Members of Precinct 4 was held on Tuesday evening, March 28, 1944, for the purpose of electing by ballot .two Town Meeting Members to fill existing vacancies.


In attendance were 11 Town Meeting Members constituting a majority of the total of 21 Precinct 4 Town Meeting Members.


Mr. Henry C. Blenis, Jr. was elected Chairman and Mr. John Heffernan was elected Clerk.


Mr. Louis H. Ells and Mr. Merton L. Loud were appointed Tellers. Ballots were distributed and the votes cast. The Tellers reported as follows :


Mr. Harold A. Condrick, 606 Main Street, receiving 9 votes was elected to the 3 year term. Mrs. Marion L. Nash, 19 West Street, re- ceiving 2 votes was elected to the 2 year term.


Mr. Harold A. Condrick and Mrs. Marion L. Nash were declared elected.
