ART. 4. To bring in their votes on one ballot for Town Clerk, Town Treasurer, Selectmen, Assessors, Overseers ot the Poor, Tax Collector, Park Commissioners, Board of Health, Constables, Fence Viewers and Fish Committee ; also for one Road Com- missioner for a term of three years.


Upon a separate ballot to bring in their votes for School Committee for two members of said Committee, each for a term of three years, and for one member for one year. To bring in their votes also upon a separate ballot in answer to the question - " Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town ? "

VOTED. That the regular town business be taken up at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and that the articles be taken up seriatim unless otherwise ordered by a 3-4 vote of the voters present.

ART. 6. To see if the town will authorize their Treasurer to hire money to pay all demands in anticipation of taxes.


VOTED. That the Treasurer be authorized, with the ap- proval of the Selectmen, to hire money in anticipa- tion of the taxes of the current year, and to issue notes of the town therefor; and all debts so incurred shall be paid from said taxes.


ART. 7. To raise and appropriate money for the payment of town debt and interest.


VOTED. That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $5000 for the payment of the town debt, and that

the Treasurer be authorized to use for the same purpose any surplus of receipts received from various sources, other than from loans and taxes ; also that the town raise and appropriate the sum of $3,200 for the payment of interest on the loans to the town.


ART. 8. To raise and appropriate money for schools.


A motion to raise $16,200 was amended to read $14,000 and carried. Later it was voted 80 to 44 to reconsider, and a motion to raise and appro- priate the sum of $16,200 was finally carried.


VOTED. To raise $1,500 for school contingent expenses. The sum of $1,000 was voted for text books and supplies.


ART. 9. To raise and appropriate money for the support of the Poor.


VOTED. $5,000 and income of town farm.


ART. 10. To raise and appropriate money for the repairs of highways and bridges, and determine how it shall be expended.


VOTED. $5,000 and that it be expended under the direction of the Road Commissioners.


ART. 11. To raise and appropriate money for the Fire Department.


VOTED. $2,200.


ART. 12. To raise and appropriate money for the Public Library.


VOTED. $400 and dog tax.


ART. 13. To raise and appropriate money for the Public Reading Room.


VOTED. $325 to be expended under the direction of the Trustees of the Beebe Town Library.


ART. 14. To raise and appropriate money for the salaries of Town Officers.


VOTED. $2,875.


ART. 15. To raise and appropriate money for the care of Street Lamps and cost of lighting.


VOTED. $1,400.

ART. 18. To raise and appropriate the sum of three thousand dollars to pay the annual rental of hydrants, as per contract with Wakefield Water Company.

ART. 19. To see what method the town will adopt for the Collection of Taxes for the year ensuing.


VOTED. That the same method be adopted as last year and that the same discount be allowed on poll taxes as on property taxes.


ART. 20. To see if the town will authorize their Collector of Taxes for the year ensuing, to use all means for the collection of taxes which a Town Treasurer, when appointed Collector, may use.
