Voted: That the subject matter of this article be referred to a committee consisting of the Town Accountant, Municipal Light Commissioners and Chairman of Finance Committee to report at the adjournment of this meeting Monday, March 15th.

Voted: That Article 20 be taken from the table.

That subject matter of Article 20 be referred to the Municipal Light Board with authority to install such of said lights as in their judgment will best serve the public interest.

Town Counsel Clemons reported in writing that in his opinion the Trust Funds of the town are legally invested.

of money for new construction and improvement in street light system, and also raise and appropriate such additional sum or sums as as may be necessary to cover the estimated expense of installing the street lights which are voted by the town under the preceding article. -Frank J. Finance Committee offered the following motion:
That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $625 for the purpose of installing new electric street lights in accordance with the judgment of the Light Board, said $625 to be added to the deprecia- tion account.

That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $800 and that the additional sum of $175 be used to install two lights on. Gladstone Street near residences of A. W. Eldredge and C. S. Crabiel, also light corner Harrison Avenue and Essex Street, and on Essex Street near residence of W. R. Pratt.

Article 22. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate a sufficient sum of money to extend the gas mains through Bellevue Park, or what they will do about it .- Jesse M. Dow and others.

Voted: That the Light Commissioners be instructed to extend the gas mains through Bellevue Park in such places as in their judg- ment seems best, and the cost of the same to be taken from the de- preciation account.

Article 23. To see if the town will vote to dispose of the whole or any part of the electric generating plant of the Light Department, and see if the town will vote to appropriate all sums received therefor to the depreciation account, or what they will do about it .- Frank J. Henkel.

Article 27. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $100 for the purpose of re-establishing the Trust Fund of $100 left by the late Ezra Eaton, and accepted by the town at the March meeting, 1857, the interest accruing therefrom to be expended in perpetual care of the burial lot of the said Ezra Eaton, or what they will do about it .- Board of Selectmen.
On Motion of Finance Committee.
That the town raise and appropriate the sum of $100 to re- establish the Trust Fund of the late Ezra Eaton as called for in Article 27 and that said fund be placed in the custody of the Town Treasurer for investment with the approval of the Selectmen.
Motion of M. E. Clemons to indefinitely postpone was lost, and motion of Finance Committee was then voted.
Article 28. To see if the town will authorize the Fish and Game Warden to put in a fish screen at the outlet of Lake Quannapowitt, subject to the approval of the Massachusetts Fish and Game Commis- sioners, and appropriate a sufficient sum of money to do the work, or what they will do about the matter .- Jacob C. Hartshorne and others.

To see if the town will put in a suitable wall on both sides of the outlet of Lake Quannapowitt, running from the low water gauge-stone, about 25 feet, to the highway culvert, and raise and ap- propriate a sufficient sum of money to do the work, or what they will do in the premises .- Jacob C. Article 30. ADJOURNED TOWN MEETING MARCH 22, 1915
Meeting called to order by Moderator Eaton at eight o'clock P.M., Article 16 being in order.
Motion by Mr. McMaster.
That the town become a part or enter the Metropolitan Water District and authorize the Board of Selectmen to make in the name of the town application to the Metropolitan Water and Sewerage Board to admit the Town of Wakefield into the Metropolitan Water District and furnish the town with water.
Motion by C. A. Dean.
That the vote on this question be taken at 9.30 unless sooner reached.
Substitute Motion by J. C. Hartshorne.
That the vote on the water question be taken at a special town meeting and that the Australian system of balloting be used.
Substitute Motion by Hartshorne was put to vote and lost. Motion by Dean was carried.
The seating capacity of the floor being inadequate the Moderator requested the persons occupying the front gallery to take seats on the side which was done, and the front gallery occupied by voters. There still remained, however, about 150 voters standing around the sides of the hall.
Disucssion on the McMaster Motion followed until 9.30 and was principally by Messrs. Cosman, McMaster, M. Low, E. H. Morton, F. H. Hackett, C. A. Dean and Hervey J. Skinner.
At the hour of 9.30 Mr. Skinner not having finished his remarks.
On Motion of C. A. Dean.
Voted: That the time of debate be extended to the hour of 9.45.
At 9.45 the vote on motion by McMaster was taken and declared not carried.
