ARTICLE 5. Unanimously voted to authorize the Selectmen to appoint an Accountant as provided by Section 55, Chapter 41, General Laws and to appropriate $1,500.00 for Salary and Expenses. 1,500.00

Meeting called to order by Moderator, Stuart M. Briggs, at 1:45 P. M.


Town Meeting Members were present as follows: Precinct One 50, Precinct Two 57, Precinct Three 43, Precinct Four 50, Precinct Five 61, At Large 23 .- Total 284.


Tellers, selected by the Moderator, and sworn to office by Town Clerk, Michael J. O'Leary, were as follows : Armand Guilmette, Edward G. Bald- win, John DeGraw.


Vote to reconsider vote of March 1, 1952 to raise a sum of money for School purposes under Article 3, Item 1-Lost.


255 members present at the time. 170 members needed for 2/3 of those present. 128 affirmative votes cast.


WATER EXTENSION


ARTICLE 21. Unanimously voted to postpone action on all items (a-b-c-d-e and f) of Article 21 until the first special or annual Town Meeting after the comple- X tion of the Sconticut Neck Water Extension Project.
