Voted to adjourn to Saturday, April 6th, 1907, at 3 p. m. At the adjourned annual meeting held April 6th, 1907.
Voted to accept report of committee on platting the Town as made by Joseph K. Milliken and to refer the same to the next town meeting to be held April 13th, 1907.
Voted to raise and appropriate $40 00 to purchase a mem- orial stone to be placed in the Pilgrims monument at Prov- incetown.

Voted that the Road Commissioners be instructed to keep their accounts in the hands of the Secretary of said Board as contemplated in the By-Laws of this town, at all times up to date, so that either of the Road Commissioners individually or any other citizen of the town can know at any time how much of the amount appropriated for roads has been expended and how much remains unexpended. To accomplish this, the Road Commissioners are instructed to mail each day to the Secretary, a report showing, First, the amount of labor put out on the roads during the day, in the form of a signed payroll which payroll form is to be provided by the Secretary of the Board. This payroll is to be filled with the name of each employee of the town working this particular day on the road, together with the hours worked and the rate of wages and the street or particular job upon which this labor is expended. Secondly a signed report showing the amount of material used on the roads during the day, together with the cost of same and the street or particular job upon which this material has been put out. From the information so obtained the Secretary shall regularly at the end of each week furnish the Board of Selectmen with the payroll for the preceding week, together with the bills for material for the preceding week, these pay- rolls and bills shall then be paid by the town treasurer in whatever way is found by him to be most satisfactory.
At a legal meeting of the town held April 13, 1907, it was voted to choose Charles S. Chase, moderator.
Voted to accept report of the committee on platting the town for the assessors.
Voted to accept and adopt that part of the committee's report which recommends that a plan be made from descrip- tions recorded in deeds and other data which may come to hand, using the surveyor and instruments only where neces- sary on account of errors and inaccuracies in the deeds, tran-

scribing at the same time from the Registry of Deeds a brief description of each piece of property so far as is necessary for the use and benefit of the assessors.
Voted to accept and adopt the ordinances or by-laws read by the moderator to regulate the licensing of junk dealers and that the town clerk submit them to the Courts for approval.
Voted to authorize and instruct the committee on macadam roads to begin at Mt. Hope Lane in the building of the macadam road on Spring St.
Voted to raise and appropriate one hundred dollars and take one hundred dollars from the dog fund for the public library.
Voted to raise and appropriate five hundred dollars for police protection.
Voted that the two thousand dollars appropriated for mac- adam roads at the annual town meeting be expended under the direction of the Mass. State Highway Commission.
Voted to raise and appropriate by taxation six hundred dollars to pay for platting the town in accordance with the vote passed this day, and work to be done under the direction of the assessors, with J. S. Place and C. C. Andrews.
At a legal meeting of the voters on August 12, 1907, Charles S. Chase chosen moderator, it was voted to instruct the Selectmen to sell the Jane Allen house on Spring St., No. Dighton.
Voted to authorize the treasurer to borrow money in antici- pation of the taxes of the present municipal year as usual to the amount of $3,000.
Voted to adjourn.
At a legal meeting of the voters of the town held Sept. 17, 1907, Charles S. Chase was chosen moderator.
Voted to choose by nomination a committee of three to make an investigation of the work of the committee on mac-

adam roads and report at the annual town meeting in March 1908, this committee to have authority to employ legal advice and to expend a sum not to exceed two hundred dollars. E. Ellsworth Lincoln. Josiah S. Place and Herbert N. Walker. were nominated and chosen as that committee.
Voted to refer Art. 3d. to the next annual town meeting.

The annual State election was held on Nov. 5, 1907.
