The committee on estimates for appropriation were Clarence C. Andrews, Geo. E. Hathaway, Howard C. Briggs, Jos. E. Sears, Geo. A. Clark, D. D. Andrews and H. W. Pardey.
Voted to pay the Treasurer $400 per year plus the price of his official bond and that the collector's salary be one per cent. of the commitment of taxes plus the price of his official bond.
Voted to empower and authorize the Selectmen to act as its agent in defending suits at law brought against the town, employ legal counsel and settle claims or act relative thereto.
Voted to authorize the Town Treasurer with the ap- proval of the Selectmen to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning Jan. 1, 1918, and to issue a note or notes there- for payable within one year any debt or debts incurred under this vote to be paid from the revenue of said finan- cial year.
Voted that the Town Officers be bonded by the Massa- chusetts Bonding Co.
Voted to authorize the Collector of Taxes to use all means of collecting taxes that a Town Treasurer may use when appointed a collector.
