To any Constable of the Town of Groton :
GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth aforesaid, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said town, qualified by law to vote in town affairs, to assemble in the Town Hall, in said town, on Monday, the second day of April next, at eight and one-half o'clock in the fore- nooon, to give in their ballots for a Town Clerk, three Selectmen, three Overseers of the Poor, three Assessors, Treasurer, two School Committees, one for three years and one for one year, two Auditors, one member of the Board of Health for three years, two Trustees of the Public Library for three years each, one Trustee of the Luther Blood Free Public Lecture Fund for three years, Collector of Taxes and three Constables, two Park Commissioners, one for three years and one for two years, one Tree Warden for one year, three Road Commissioners, one for three years, one for two years and one for one year ; also, to vote "Yes" or "No" on the question, "Shall Licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this town?" The polls will be open at eight and one-half o'clock .A. M. and may be closed at one o'clock P. M.
Also to act on the following articles :
Article 1. To Choose a Moderator.
Art. 2. To hear and act upon the report of the Select- men and other town officers.
Art. 3. To choose all town officers not required by law to be chosen by ballot.

Art. 4. To raise and appropriate such sums of money as may be necessary to defray the expenses of the town for the ensuing year.
Art. 5. To see what method the town will adopt for the collection of taxes.
Art. 6. ' To see if the town will accept or alter the list of jurors as revised and posted by the Selectmen.
Art. 7. To see what compensation the town will allow the Engineers, Forest Firewards, and Enginemen for the ensuing year.
Art. 8. To see if the town will authorize the Town Treasurer, subject to the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow such sums of money, in anticipation of taxes for the year 1906 as may be necessary for current expenses.
Art. 9. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of seventy-five dollars for the decoration of sol- diers' graves, or take any action in relation to same.
Art. 10. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of forty dollars for the care of the old burying ground, or pass any vote in relation to the same.
Art. 11. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of twenty dollars to care for the clock in the Bap- tist Church.
Art. 12. To see if the town will raise and appropriate a sum of money for the protection of shade trees in the town, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 13. To see if the town will rescind the vote where- by they voted to elect three Road Commissioners, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 14. To see if the town will raise and appropriate a sum of money sufficient to build a sidewalk from the end of the present walk, at the house of M. F. McGowan to the house of James Fallon, or take any action in relation to the same.

Art. 16. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of five hundred dollars to build a sidewalk from the property of Michael Moran to the land of J. T. Shep- ley, on the road from West Groton to Pepperell, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 17. To see if the town will raise and appropriate a sum of money for the celebration of Fourth of July, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 18. To see if the town will raise a sum of money to build a sidewalk from Main Street to Whiting Avenue, on West Street, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 19. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of three hundred dollars to extend the cement sidewalk on the westerly side of Main Street, from corner of Elm Street by land of Catholic Church, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 20. To see if the town will vote to raise the pay of road laborers to two dollars per day, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 21. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of two thousand dollars to renew and improve the heating system in the Butler School building, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art 22. To see if the town will vote to pay A. A. Car- kin the sum of twenty-five'dollars to reimburse him for money paid on account of accident received by him while working for the town, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 23. To see if the town will raise and appropriate a sum of money to extend the sidewalk on the south side

of Pleasant Street, from the house of Myron P. Swallow to Dodge Cottage, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 24. To see if the town will vote to close the road across the Common in front of the house of Mrs. E. G. Lowe, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 25. To see if the town will raise and appropriate the sum of sixty-five dollars for the purpose of running the Lawrence fountain.
Art. 26. To see if the town will appoint an appropria- tion committee, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 27. To hear and act upon the report of any com- mittee heretofore chosen.
And you will serve this Warrant by posting a true and attested copy of the same at the Post Office at Groton, also at the Post Office in West Groton, eight days at least before the time of said meeting.

Voted that a discount of three per cent. be allowed on all taxes paid on or before September 1, 1906, and if not paid before the first day of December the delin- quent will be served with a summons, and the tax and costs, together with the interest at the rate of six per cent. per annum be charged and collected according to law, the collector to receive one per cent. for collection.
Art. 6. After excusing Eugene O. Collier and Samuel L. Blodgett at their request, and adding names of Michael F. Cronin and Stillman Gilpatrick, the amended list was accepted.
Art. 7. Voted same pay as last year.

Art. 8. Voted unanimously that for the purpose of pro- curing a temporary loan to and for the use of the Town of Groton in anticipation of the taxes of the present munici- pal year the Town Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to borrow from time to time, with the approval of a majority of the board of Selectmen, a sum or sums not exceeding in the aggregate thirty thousand dollars, and to execute and deliver the note or notes of the town therefor, payable within one year from the time the note is made. Any debt or debts incurred by a loan or loans to the town under this vote shall be paid from the said taxes of the present municipal year.
Art. 9. Voted to raise and appropriate seventy-five dol- lars ($75.00).
Art. 10. Voted to raise and appropriate forty dollars ($40.00).
Art. 11. Voted to raise and appropriate twenty dollars ($20.00).

Voted to take a recess till 4 o'clock, at which time the polls may be closed.

TOWN WARRANT FOR JANUARY 14, 1907.
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS,
MIDDLESEX SS.
To any Constable of the Town of Groton : GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth aforesaid, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of said town qualified by law to vote in town affairs to assemble in the Town Hall in said town, on Monday, the fourteenth day of January current, at eight o'clock in the evening, to act on the following articles :
Article 1. To choose a Moderator.
Art. 2. To see if the town will vote to instruct the Se- lectmen regarding letting the Town Hall to local parties for the purpose of rehearsal, or take any action in relation to the same.
Art. 3. To see if the town will appropriate a sum of money for the further suppression of the " brown tail moth " or take any action in relation to the same.
And you will serve this Warrant by posting a true and attested copy of the same at the Post Office at Groton ; also at the Post Office at West Groton, eight days at least, before the time of said meeting.
Hereof fail not and make return of your doings hereon to the Town Clerk on or before the time of said meeting.
Given under our hands this fifth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven.

The meeting was called to order by the Town Clerk and the warrant read.
Article 1. Charles Woolley unanimously chosen.
Art. 2. After discussion of question it was voted to instruct the Selectmen to let the people of the, town have the use of the Town Hall for the purpose of rehearsal for the sum of one dollar per evening.
The meeting then adjourned without date.
