During the year there has been quite a number of cases of contagious and infectious diseases, especially during the fall months, when we were visited with an epidemic of scarlet fever, most of the cases occurring in mild form.
It has been unpleasant at times for us to find peo- ple sick with a mild form of scarlet fever walking the streets, they not sick enough to be confined to the house, but mingling with other people and thus offer- ing points of contagion and spread of disease.
