STATE HIGHWAY MACADAM CONSTRUCTION.


Concluded from time loan made for the year 1902.


Paid to Wm. Sears, contractor, per order of the Massa- chusetts State Highway Commission, $1,800 00. The above mentioned sum is the final payment on the part of the Town of Harwich to conclude the arrangement made be- tween the Board of Selectmen and the Massachusetts State Highway Commission, whereby it was agreed on the part of said town that the sum of $3,600 00 would be allotted and placed under certain conditions, subject to the order of said commission for the purpose of aiding in macadamizing the unfinished part of the south county road between Harwich- port and the Chatham line. It is with great pleasure that we are able to report that said agreement has been concluded and the road now stands completed, we trust, to the satis- faction of the people. The final report of macadam expend-

iture under the time loan of $10,000 voted to be raised at the February town meeting of the year 1902 to which the additional sum of $800 was raised at a special town meeting held in the month of August, 1902, is as follows :
