Article 26. Miles Street, Harwich Port. Voted to repair from general appropriation.


Article 27. Electric lights on Pleasant St., Harwich Port. Indefinitely postponed. It was voted that the chair appoint a committee of seven, one from each P. O. district, as an advisory board for electric lights, and that each proponent shall present their need for electric lights 30 days before the Annual Town Meeting, said board to consider these matters and make recommenda- tions to the Town.

Article 38. Concerning the improvement with oil of the unfinished part of the Shell Road leading from the Center to E. Harwich. Voted to be repaired from the general fund.


Article 39. To cinder the road in E. Harwich from the late Nathan Nickerson corner to the State Highway at Pleasant Bay. Voted to repair it from the general fund.


Article 40. To cinder the road leading from the depot road in W. Harwich to the residence of Ralph Cummings. Voted to repair this road from the general funds.


Article 41. In regards to the opening of the chan- nel to Allen's Harbor, Harwich Port. Voted $250 for this work.


Article 42. For Electric Lights on, and near Smith St., W. Harwich. Indefinitely postponed.


Article 43. For the Town to adopt a Town Man- ager form of government. Indefinitely postponed.


Article 44. To accept the layout of Caleb St., so called, between the land of Grace E. Radway and Mabel A. Nichols in W. Harwich. Indefinitely postponed.


Article 45. To harden with cinders the road lead- ing from E. G. Eldredge's store easterly to the residence - of Mrs. Arthur Nickerson. Indefinitely postponed.

Article 46. Concerning the continuing in office of the School Investigating committee appointed at the an- nual meeting in 1923. So voted with an appropriation of $200.


Article 47. To harden with oil the road from Main St., Harwich Port to the beach near the residence of Walter Keach. Voted to repair from the general fund.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING, OCT. 17, 1924


Meeting called to order at 7.30 o'clock p. m., by the Town Clerk, who read the Warrant. About 75 were present.


Article 1. John H. Paine was chosen Moderator.


Article 2. Town Dump. Voted to abandon the use of the present Town Dump.


Article 3. Town Dump. It was voted that the Town raise and appropriate $150 for the purpose of disposing and clearing up this dump, and that the matter be left in the hands of the Superintendent of Streets.


Article 4. New dumping ground. It was voted that $75 be appropriated for a new dumping ground and that the Selectmen be authorized to purchase the same.

Article 5. It was voted that the Exchange Hall be let for Basket Ball provided that the Selectmen demand every precaution be used for safeguarding the windows, fixtures, etc.


Meeting adjourned at 8.30 o'clock.
