It was put to vote to see if the town would cause a round to be laid out and opened, from the Cab. twee at the junction of The words leading from Haverhill and Arelover in or near the direction prayed for by Natham Andrews and others, to the town road near the house of Nathan Dresser; to lay all the way three rods wide, except on The ridge, which is to lay two rows and one half wine. after taking out those who were objecto to on account of their not being voters, the Moderation proceed to count the voters for, and against - und there was a majority in favor of causing it to be law out as above- therefore it passed in AJ AFFIRMATIVE.

It was put to vote to see if the town would accept un establish the now prayed for by Ancill Stickney and other, from the Car. tree at the function of the Haverhill and chuloves road to the. town road above the house of the hein of John Dressen as lui out by the Selection in the foregoing report- and it passed unanimously in the AFFIRMATIVE.
Voted, unanimously, to accept the report of the Committe appointed in November lust, to view the contemplates way for a road near the Burying place in the Growth Parish in said Borrowed; which Report is as follows.

The remonstrance of the subscribers inhabitants of the town of oxford, and legally qualified to vote in town affairs nl theweth; That, whereas a town meeting is warneed to be holden this day at the meeting hivers of the 2 Punish in said town and is in their opinion (so far as respects the 2 article in the warrant) ilegal in the present care, and highly improper, as the Statute gives towns no power to discontinue roads, exceptauch as have been improved as such, and have become unnecessary plainly implying those which have ceased to betravels on and have become useless.
Beliving as we do in the necessity of the road There mentioned, and that such proceedings can be of no benefit even to those persons who are against suis nous, but that on the contrary will be of great disadvantage to the white town, in bringing on a lawsuit in which their only prospect in defect: Hurthier considering that we have how repente meetings on the subject and the road has been established; and that in their opinion a number of persons are determined to continue causeing meetings to be held in this inclement season, when we cannot conveniently attend.We there from for the causes aforementioned enter this our PROTEST against prosc= seeding on the 2. article afone sais, and request the Town to bank, to put the same on record; and further thanthis we shall not act on said article.
