REPORT OF INSPECTOR OF CATTLE.

TO THE SELECTMEN OF FRANKLIN :

Number of inspections made at slaughter house, 254 ; beeves, 11 ; tuberculous 4 ; veals, 107 ; tuberculous, 2 ; Hogs, 105 ; tuberculous, 3.

Number of animals placed in quarantine, 111; con- demned, 101 ; released, 10.

I have not made a full, general inspection during the past year. Through neglect of the commission to notify me when to commence this work, I had only ten days in which to accom- plish it. By the examinations which I have made at the re- quest of owners, I think we have accomplished more in get- ting rid of diseased animals than in former years.

Respectfully, submitted,

T. L. MARTIN, V. S.,

Franklin, Feb. 1, 1897.

Inspector.
