SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
MARCH 23, 1918
Pursuant to a warrant, duly executed, the inhabitants of Norwell qualified to vote in town affairs met at the Town Hall, Saturday, March 23, 1918, at 7.30 P. M., and took the following action on the several articles contained therein :
Article I. To choose a Moderator.
John Whalen was chosen Moderator, by ballot. He was sworn by the Town Clerk.
Article 2. Will the town rescind the vote taken at the Annual Meeting, March 4, 1918, whereby it was voted that the Board of Health fix the well at District No. I, as soon as possible, the cost of same to be taken from the incidental appropriation, and in place thereof take any other action relative to the matter.
Voted, to pass over this article.

Article 3. To make allowance to town creditors.
A bill was presented from Mrs. Carrie W. Keene for nursing an inmate at the Almshouse. Amount, $30.00. After debate it was voted not to pay the bill.
A bill was presented by John F. Wilder for services as weigher. AAmount, $15.00. It was voted that Mr. Wilder be paid.
Voted, that this meeting be dissolved.

STATE ELECTION.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 1918
Pursuant to a warrant duly executed the qualified voters of the Town of Norwell met at the Town Hall on Tuesday, the fifth day of November, at 6 A. M. The polls were opened at 6 and closed at 12.20 P. M. One hundred and ninety names were checked on the voting list and one hun- dred and ninety ballots were cast. They were canvassed and counted in open meeting and the result was announced as follows :
