ANNUAL TOWN MEETING MARCH 4, 1907.
Pursuant to the warrant and the Constable's return thereon a Town Meeting was held at the time and place therein specified. The meeting was called to order by Town Clerk Millard F. Charles. Prayer was offered by Rev. Walter C. Myers. The Warrant was read by the Town Clerk, also the Constable's return thereon.
Art. 1. Proceeded to the election of a Moderator. George L. Flint received four votes, all the ballots cast, and was declared unanimously elected Moderator. The following were duly sworn as ballot clerks: Chester C. Richardson, Fred A. Parker, Horace E. Eames.
The following were duly sworn as tellers: Clinton L. Newell, Walter K. Badger, Charles H. Stinchfield, Herbert E. McIntire, Harry E. Smith, John Connelly, John D. Canty, Henry M Done- gan, John B. Champney, Frank E. Gray.
The polls were duly declared open.
On motion of Charles H. Stinchfield, it was voted to close the polls at 4.15 o'clock p. m.
No objection being made votes were taken out at various times during the day.
The polls were duly declared closed at 4.15 p. m. The ballot box registered 0000 at the opening of the polls and 39 at close of the polls. The check lists showed that 578 men and 22 women had voted, and the tellers reported the same number; 578 men's ballots

Pursuant to the Town warrant and the Constable's return thereon, a Town Meeting was held at the place and time therein mentioned and was called to order by Town Clerk Millard F. Charles. Prayer was offered by Rev. Frank S. Hunnewell. The warrant was partially read, when a motion was made to dispense with further reading except the Constable's return thereon which was read, and it was so voted, after which the Constable's return was read by the Town Clerk.
Article 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
Art. 1. Acting under this article the meeting proceeded to the election of Moderator by ballots. James W. Killam was directed to check the names of those voting. Six ballots were cast, all for George L. Flint, and he was declared unanimously elected.

Voted that Asa Parker, Willard A. Bancroft and Herbert G. Stock serve as Field Drivers for the ensuing year.
Voted that John H. Orr be appointed Pound Keeper for the ensuing year.

Voted that the Overseers of the Poor be authorized and directed to confer with the Overseers of the Poor of North Reading and Wilmington in regard to the advisability of having one Poor Farm for the three Towns and report thereon at some future Town Meeting.

Art. 5. To see if the Town will raise the sum of eight thousand dollars and appropriate the same, together with the receipts of the Municipal Light and Power Plant, for the year 1907, for the maintenance, operation and repair of said Plant, and for the payment of bonds, notes, interest and depreciation due by said Plant during the year, or what they will do in relation thereto.
Art. 5. Voted that the Town raise and appropriate the sum of seven thousand two hundred and forty dollars for the use of the Municipal Light Board as follows : for payment of Bonds Nos. 15 and 16, two thousand dollars ($2,000); for interest, one thousand four hundred forty dollars; for depreciation, three thousand dollars, together with the depreciation cash in the treasury; and for main- tenance, eight hundred dollars, together with the receipts of the Plant and the balance of cash on hand and in the treasury.

Art. 6. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of thirty-five hundred dollars for construction, extension, enlarge- ment and addition to the Municipal Light and Power Plant, or what they will do in relation thereto.

Art. 8. To see if the Town will authorize the Municipal Light Board to employ two more men for the purpose of shortening the day's work from twelve hours to eight hours, or what they will do in relation thereto.

Art. 12. To determine how much money the Town will raise and appropriate for service pipes, hydrant rental, water for drinking fountains, water for street sprinkling, interest on water loan and maintenance of water works, or what they will do in relation thereto.
Art. 12. Voted to raise and appropriate for hydrant rentals four thousand nine hundred and fifty dollars ($4,950).
Voted to raise and appropriate for water for drinking fountains three hundred dollars ($300).
Voted to raise and appropriate for water for sprinkling streets five hundred dollars ($500), and that the above named sums, together with the receipts for water, be appropriated for interest on water loans, maintenance of water works and for service pipes.
Art. 13. To see if the Town will authorize the Board of Water Commissioners to obtain detailed drawings and estimates of costs of making changes in filter plant, as recommended in their report, or what they will do in relation thereto.
