REPORT OF THE SARAH D. J. CARTER LECTURE COMMITTEE
To the Citizens of Wilmington:
Your Lecture Committee contracted for four entertain- ments for the 1922-1923 season as follows:
Oct. 20, 1922-Batting-Mahler Company-music and readings. Nov. 17, 1922-The Duval Brothers-Magic.
Dec. 8, 1922-Dorothy Berry Carpenter-Readings. Jan. 19, 1923-The Versatile Artists-a Concert.
An advertisement in the Alpha, our local weekly, seems to have been sufficient notice of dates and subjects.

The slaughter house at the Blue Hog Co. has been some- what improved since last year, more improvements are ex- pected. I would suggest that the sanitary conditions in and around the slaughter house be more carefully cared for, espe- cially in warm weather. Mr. Day and Winburg have done no slaughtering to my knowledge since last March.
Respectfully submitted,
ARTHUR W. SPRAGUE,
Inspector of Slaughtering

REPORT OF SEALER OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES
To the Honorable Board of Selectmen:
Gentlemen ;- I herewith submit my report of the work of Sealer of Weights and Measures.
Early in the year the American Legion Post 136 requested the use of a small plot of land at junction of Middlesex Avenue and Glen Road, then occupied by the town scales, for a Me- morial Park.
The Board of Selectmen begged my advice and consent regarding this matter. As these scales have been condemned for several years and were seldom used, and were an eyesore to the center of our town, I readily granted the request and recommended the scales be removed and stored in some suitable place until such time as the town may need to use them in connection with our stone crusher.
This was done and Rogers' Memorial Park is now located there. This I believe gives more satisfaction to all the towns- people.
