17 (10) 1647 These Articles of Agreem! covenanted & agreed uppon betwixt George Ludlow of N: England Mercht, & John Jolliff agent for mr Matthew Craddock of London merchant, witnesseth
1. That whereas the sd George Ludlow hath shipped aboard the good ship called the New Supply John Cutting M! for London fourty & one hogsheads of Virginia leafe Tobacco qt
marked as in the margent, wch by G. L. 36 hhs vertue of his order indorsed on the A. G. 5 hhs back side of the bill of ladeing are to be dd unto the sd Matthew Craddock 41 hhs in London merch: the sd John Jolliff doe pmise, & bind himselfe his Exe- cutors & Administrators that the sª Matthew Craddock shall indevor to land and receive the said fourty & one hogsheads of Tobacco, & according to his best Judgmt make sale of the same, as the times will afford, and out of pduct, have- ing first paid himselfe, all such freight custome & other charges as the said Matthew shall have disbursed uppon the foresd pcell, as also having pª himselfe the summe of

3. Also the sª Georg Ludlow doth hereby bind himselfe his heires Executors & Administrators to pay unto Matthew Craddock of London mercht or his assignes, whatsoever the sª fourty & one hogsheads of Tobacco being sould
