Rules Observed by Banks in Baltimore.


The Banks are open every day in the year, from 10 A. M. to 3 P. M., except Sundays, Christmas, New Year, 22d February, Fourth of July and Thanksgiving.


The Interest for Discount in the Banks in this city is fixed at six per cent. per annum. Three days of grace are allowed, and the discount taken for the same. Every Bill or Note offered for discount must be delivered the day preced- ing the day of discount. Bills or Notes lodged at the Banks for collection when protested for non-payment, the person lodging the same pays the charge of protest. Deposits of money or notes for collection must be entered in the deal- er's book at the time such deposit is made.
