Any person may deposit in this Bank, no matter where he may live. Deposits draw interest from the date of deposit.


Dividends paid four times a year, February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1.


We invite deposits from people living in all parts of the State. They can do business with us very conveniently by mail, with no necessity for coming in person to our office. To open an account by mail new depositors have only to send in the amount in any of the money equivalents named below and we will issue a bank book. We receive from depositors U. S. currency, checks, coupons, postal money orders and money orders of any of the express companies. Currency or coupons should be sent either by express or by registered mail. . Checks and money orders and bank books can be sent safely by ordi- nary mail. Checks and money orders should be made payable to PORTLAND SAVINGS BANK, directly or by endorsement.


Money may be withdrawn by sending in the bank book and a letter stating how much is wanted and how the amount shall be forwarded, whether by check or money order or, if currency is desired, directing whether it shall be sent by express or by registered mail.
