[A]t our Town meeting held in New Castell June the 24th 1756 voted by the majer part of the Enhabitants that the Revd- Mr Aacxander Boyd was not Legally Ressved according to Law or the presbetiren constitutian tho a number of the Enhabitent against the vote Entered a protest and said they had no Right to vote aney such vote 2ly Voted by the majer part that they will Not Reseve the Revd Mr Alexan- der Boyd to be thier minister tho a Number of the Enhabitent protessted they had no Right to vot in that Case aLodging he was Reseved alredy and that they would Leave it with the Revd presbetry to Dasid it
