ADDENDA.

Note-Before Pittston was incorporated, residents of Gardinerston (or Gardinerstown) sometimes had their in- tentions of marriage published in Hallowell, which was the nearest incorporated town. This practice was continued to some extent after the incorporation of Pittston. The names of such persons will appear in the following tables ; and there has also been added, from Hallowell and Gardiner records, a record of the marriages of persons whose intentions were or should have been published in Pittston, but whose mar- riages were not recorded there. It should be remembered, however, that these lists do not claim to be complete, and an occasional variation in the names of the parties will be noticed.
