Married Flora Plowman, Oct. 5, 1881, settling on a farm near Fowler from which he mov. to farm 5 mi. w. of St. Johns. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Elda Stoerck of St. Johns; a son, Ray Stowell of Mt. Pleasant; 7 grandch; one brother, Fred L. Stowell of St. Johns; a sister, Mrs. Emma Hudson of Okemos. A daughter, Mrs. Dessie Jones, d. several years ago. Burial: Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns.

Obit: Thomas Lonsberry, son of William S. and Betsy Swarthout; fifth of 7 sons and last survivor of family. Age 5, came with parents to Michigan where they gave the name of their New York home to the township and village of Ovid. He left here in spring 1918 to spend his last days with his daughter in Faulkton, S.D. where he died. Surviving: Edson of Ovid and Mrs. Nora Warner of South Dakota. Burial: Maple Grove Cem.
