We have been greatly handicapped in our work this year by the rightfui first piace the Centenary has taken in ail our churches.

Charges that have opened to our appeals have responded splendidiy. Pastors in many cases have been over cautious. One pastor on a very hard fieid not only went over the top" on the Centenary, but his people subscribed $1,730.00 to this fund. This includes the gift of a house and lot valued at $900.00. This house is avaliabic for occupaney now, and will settle for somne worthy Brother the question of a home for the coming year.

The fact that there have been no large gifts this year makes our totals seem small.

The total amount of new subscriptions taken this year was $5,278.50.

BOARD OF TEMPERANCE.

Beiieving the Christian Sabbath to be one of the foundation stones of our civilization we depiore its widespread desecration and cail upon our people to assist in the enforcement of such Sabbath laws as we now have.

Whereas, The White Siaver piays his traffic in every town and village, be it resoived that we ask our pastors to conduct such program of education as is necessary to protect our young people.
