PREFACE DUNN, NORTH CAROLINA

Dunn is situated in both the Coastal and Piedmont sections of North Carolina, being on the boundry line of each. The popu- lation of the city according to a recent census is near five thousand people. Located in a rich agricultural section and offering every advantage to the manufacturer and business man, it has every in- dication of developing fast into one of the most prosperous and sub- stantial towns of this section of the state.

Dunn has diversified industries and borders the mill city of Erwin, N. C., where the largest denim mills of the South are located and which has a population of as many people as Dunn. Lumber Mills, Ginneries, Cottonseed Oil Mills, Wood Working Plants, Ma- chine Shops, Foundry, Agriculture Implement Factory, Fertilizer Factory, Furniture Factory, Cotton Storage Warehouses, Flour and Feed Mills, etc.

The largest wagon cotton market in North Carolina is a dis- tinction that Dunn enjoys justly. It has a modern Motorized Fire Department, a Community Hospital, Beautiful Churches, Splendid Schools, Strong Banks, and congenial people to live with. Hard surfaced highways in every direction and the Carolinas-Florida Short Route passes through the center of this charming little city.

Dunn has a Rotary Club, a Merchants' Association, a Chamber ; of Commerce and a thriving Building and Loan Association.

An even tempered climate and the low cost of living makes Dunn an ideal section in which to live.

The Dunn Chamber of Commerce welcomes inquiries from anyone and will gladly give any information.

THE DUNN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
