Preface STATESVILLE, N. C.
Statesville, "The Best Town in North Carolina," is located on the main line of Southern Railway from Washington to Chatta- nooga, branch line from Charlotte to Taylorsville, on State High- ways Nos. 10, 26 and 90. Main industries, manufacturing, agricul- ture and merchandise. Some 70 manufacturing plants are in or around the city, manufacturing a diversified line of products. (See classified part of the directory). Statesville is a well-balanced city as the business is diversified.
In the 1932-1933 directory, the miscellaneous information has been put in the alphabetical and business sections of the book, where it should be. A complete canvass of the city has been made by experienced directory workers and the information is as correct as can be obtained in a work of this kind. Thanking the public for their interest in giving the information.
