Great Distributing Center-
THAT Charlotte is the commercial and distributing center of the Carolinas is fully demonstrated by the fact that more than 250 large corporations of national importance handle practically their entire business in this territory through branch plants, branch offices or representatives located in Charlotte. The railways maintain a regular daily schedule of 196 package cars from Charlotte to meet the demands of this immense dis- tributing activity. Extensions of the capacity for 4,800 car loads of freight daily are being made to take care of the large growth of manufacturing and distribution.
