'o speed up the distribution and delivery of the mails, Charlotte has adopted the TUMERICAL ZONING SYSTEM.
The streets listed alphabetically with the unit number for each street (or portion f it) are shown on the following pages. Unit numbers for box service are listed eparately. Unit numbers should be included as a part of the complete address of Il mail and the number should appear after the name of the city and before the lame of the state.
All users of the mails are urged by the Post Office Department to cooperate in this ffort by including the unit number in all local addresses as well as inform cor- espondents of this addition to their own official address, and to have their postal mit number on their letterheads, envelopes, statements, and all advertising matter. The Post Office on request, will be glad to cooperate with you in assigning proper nit numbers to your mailing lists.

You are requested to notify all your correspondents of the correct District lumber to be used in addressing your mail, and to include this number in your return address. Your strict observance of this practice will be mutually beneficial 1 that it will facilitate the handling of your mail by this Post Office and result in peedier delivery for you.
