Report of the School Board
The school in District No. 9 was taught by Miss Mary A. Rogers, two terms of ten weeks each making eighty weeks that Miss Rogers has taught in this district. Miss Rogers has the good will of all the scholars and parents. That is what make a good school. Miss Rogers is one of our best teachers.
No. 10 had two terms of ten weeks each; taught by Miss Annie M. Wheeler. Miss Wheeler tried her best to have a good school but she could not teach the scholars when they were kept at home. The parents then find fault because their children did not learn more.
We cannot have good schools unless the parents take interest enough to help the school board and teacher. My advice to the parents is to visit the school and see for themselves. Don't take somebodys say so.
PRESCOTT M. PLUMER.
The school at North Groton, District No. 4, was under the instruction of Mrs. Lillian Leavitt through the year. Mrs. Leavitt is a teacher of experience and good progress was made.
FRED KIDDER.
Do we all realize how fast time with its ceaseless course goes on? If we do we should be up and doing all we can for our children who are so soon to take our places.
The past year has been one of the most quiet school
X

years we have any recollection of. We can not say that our schools have been wholly satisfactory but it is a great re- lief to have our schools go on with so little friction as has been the case the past year.
Respectfully submitted,
JOSIAH WHEET, PRESCOTT M. PLUMER, FRED KIDDER,
School Board.
