SCHOOL REPORT
For the Year 1907.
School in District No. 10, first term of ten weeks taught by Mrs. Loia Coolidge. Mrs. Coolidge is one of our best teachers. She worked for the interest of the town. All the parents were satisfied and that is what makes a good school.
Second term of nine weeks was under the instruction of Miss Anna Wheeler. Anna tried her best to have a good school and the scholars made very good progress.
Third term of eight weeks was taught by Mrs. Lola Coolidge and was one of the best in town. The scholars made great improvement in all their studies and the school was a success by getting the good will of all the scholars and parents and when you do that there is no trouble.
In District No. 9, there were three terms of school un- der the instruction of Miss Mary E. Rogers. Miss Rogers has taught this school for three years and is one of our best teachers. She is not afraid of work and is interested in the school and all the scholars are in perfect attendance, and all the parents try to have their children ready for school and see that they are on time and I will give them the praise with the teacher. There are more on the roll of honor for three terms than any other in town.
ROLL OF HONOR.
First term: Maude Coolidge, Daisy Gurney, Viola Mathews, Lillian Remick, Addie Powers, Frank Gurney, George Gurney, Frank Mathews, Perley Mathews, Harold Mathews, Oscar Powers, Herbert Remick, Ruey A. Plumer.
Second term: Frank Gurney, George Gurney, Daisy Gurney, Emma Gurney, Maud Coolidge, Lillian Remick,
31
Bertha Remick, Herbert Remick, Frank Mathews, Viola Mathews, Perley Mathews, Harold Mathews, Oscar Powers, Addie Powers, Ruey Plumer.
REMARKS.
To the Parents and Citizens of Groton:
We believe the schools have been profitable and feel justified in saying that the teachers have proved themselves capable and worthy of much praise and we know there has been graet improvement in our schools in this part of the town in the past year. When the parents and scholars work together with the teacher good results are sure to fol- low and we are sure the School Board have done their best to have good schools and I can say for one I am well pleased.
PRESCOTT M. PLUMER, for School Board.
