THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE


To the inhabitants of the Town of Rumney in the County of Grafton in said State, qualified to vote in Town Affairs: (LS)


You are hereby notified to meet at the Rumney Town Hall in said Rumney on Tuesday, the ninth (9) day of March, next at ten of the clock in the forenoon, to act upon the following subjects:


1. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing.


2. To raise such sums of money as may be necessary to defray town charges for the ensuing year and make appropriations of the same.


3. To see how much money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for Highways in addition to the amount required by law.


4. To see how much money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the care of the Library.


5. To see how much money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for Street Lights.


6. To see how much money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the care of the Cemeteries.


7. To see how much money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the care of the "Common".


8. To see how much money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the LaMott-Kenneson Post No. 76, American Legion, for Memorial Day and other Patriotic Purposes.

9. To see how much money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the Fire Department.


10. To choose a Fire Commissioner.


11. To see how much money the town will vote to raise and appropriate for the care of the Town Dump.


12. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate $1,536.00 to secure from the State $3,072.00 to be expended under the State Aid Orange System on the construction of the North Groton Road.


13. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate $1,500.00 for the construction of the Bridge across Stinson Brook about 2 miles north of the Rumney post office on the Stinson Lake Road,-this amount of money being the town's share of the estimated balance needed for the com pletion of the said bridge construction.


14. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate- or borrow a sum of money not exceeding $6,000.00 to be used for the purchase of a new Fire Truck with a 500 gallon Mid-Ship Pump and a 500 gallon Booster Tank, and tó' authorize the Selectmen to borrow the money on the credit of the town and to repay this loan with annual payments of not less than $ 1,000.00 each, beginning with the year 1948.

15. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money not exceeding $102.00,-which is 1-100th of one per-cent of the assessed valuation of the town,- to the Lakes Region Association for the purpose of publicizing and promoting the natural advantages and resources of the town, in co-operation with other towns in the Lakes Region.


16. To see if the town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to administer, lease, rent or sell or otherwise dispose of, any real estate or any "mineral rights" acquired by the town at its tax collector's sales.


17. To see if the town will vote to authorize the selectmen to borrow money in anticipation of taxes.


18. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate $400.00 for control of the White Pine Blister Rust in co- operation with the State Forestry and Recreation Commission.


19. To see if the town will vote to allow a 2 per cent discount on all taxes paid within 15 days after presentation of tax bill.


20. To see if the town will vote to petition the State Tax Commission to have an audit made by the Division of Municipal Accounting, and to make appropriation to cover the expense of such an audit.


21. To see if the town will vote to have the inventory blanks distributed at the time of taking appraisal of property.


22. To see if the town will vote to make a change in the ballot system with regard to the manner of voting at town meeting.

23. To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.
