SCHOOL NO. 5.


First term of nine weeks. Whole number of pupils, 20; average attendance, 19; roll of perfect attendance: Gladys MeCormick, Alden Fifield, Nettie Connor, Dora C. Downing, Esther Downing, Carro Clark, Phineas Clark, Everett Downing, Orrin Downing, George Steele, Earl Steele.


Second term of seven weeks. Number of pupils, 20;

average attendance, 16; roll of perfect attendance: Gladys McCormick, George Steele.


Third term of eight weeks. Number of pupils, 18; average attendance, 10; roll of perfect attendance: Anna Vanhousen, Lilla Vanhousen, Carro Clark, Phineas Clark, George Steele. The three terms were taught by Susie B. Whitney. The scholars that took advantage of the school made very good improvement. Miss Whitney is an experi- enced teacher and worked hard for the success of the school.


SCHOOL NO. 6.


First term of nine weeks taught by Frances H. Smith. Whole number of pupils, 19; average attendance, 18; roll of perfect attendance: Margaret Smith, Lester Smith. Miss Smith worked hard and the school showed a decided improvement in every respect.


Second term of fourteen weeks taught by Hattie C. Stickney. Whole number of pupils, 20; avenage attend- ance, 15; roll of perfect attendance: Harold G. Downing, Earl Downing, Bessie G. Downing, Annie G. Willey. Miss Stickney is a young teacher but she tried to interest the pupils, and those that did not forget why they were there made good improvement.


SCHOOL NO. 9.


First term of nine weeks taught by Emma Crowell. Whole number of pupils, 7; average attendance, 7; roll of perfect attendance: Sadie W. Elkins, Bessie Willey, Henry Venott, Nelson Venott, Albert Venott. Mrs. Crowell was one of our best teachers. The little ones were very much interested and the school was satisfactory to both parents and pupils.


Second term of fourteen weeks taught by Sadie Clark.

Whole number of pupils, 8; average attendance, 7; roll of perfect attendance: Sadie W. Elkins, Henry L. Venott, Nelson J. Venott, Albert G. Venott. Miss Clark taught a first class school.


SCHOOL NO. 12.


First term of six weeks taught by Addie B. Sargent. Number of pupils, 5 ; average attendance, 1; roll of per- fect attendance: George D. Sargent. This school was not a success although it was not the fault of the teacher, as we believe she did her best.


Second term of nine weeks taught by Ethel G. Palmer. Whole number of pupils, 6; average attendance, 5; roll of perfect attendance, Jennie M. Brown, Bessie A. Brown, Pauline A. Brown. Miss Palmer tried hard to interest the pupils, and their examinations showed a great improvement.


Third term of six weeks taught by Lizzie M. Ham. Number of pupils, 6; average attendance, 4; roll of perfect attendance: Bessie A. Brown, Pauline A. Brown. This school showed that both teacher and pupils worked hard.
