[TOWN WARRANT.] STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE.
Cheshire, ss.
To the inhabitants of the town of Walpole qualified to vote in town affairs:
You are hereby notified to meet at the Town House in said town of Walpole, on Tuesday, the thirteenth day of March, next, 1917, at nine o'clock in the forenoon, to act upon the following subjects:
Article 1 .- To choose town clerk, selectmen, road agents, trustees of public funds, auditors, town treasurer, collectors of taxes, sealer of weights and measures, fence viewers and all other necessary officers for the ensuing year.
Article 2 .- To raise money for support of schools, school supplies, for the poor, town library, cemeteries, to build and repair highways and bridges and for such other current and incidental expenses as may accrue.
Article 3 .- To see if the town will authorize its selectmen to raise money on notes of the town in anticipation of taxes.
Article 4 .- To see if the town will accept state aid for highways.
Article 5 .- To see if the town will allow a discount on taxes.
Article 6 .- To see if the town will vote to paint the town house and appropriate money therefor.
Article 7 .- To see what action the town will take on the following: "I give, devise and bequeath to the Bridge Memorial Public Library of Walpole, N. H., the sum of five hundred ($500) dollars in trust to be paid within two years after my death, the income only to be used for 25 years, the money to become the property of said library at end of that period."
Article 8 .- To see if the town will vote to discontinue that part of Elm street from the east line of Brook street to the west line of Sullivan County railroad, being about eighty feet.
Article 9 .- To see if the town will vote to remove the stone wall on the west side of the road from Norman Guild's house to the first turn in the road on Schoolhouse hill, doing a part each year until com- pleted; also raise the road from the sluice below the C. P. Howland place to the first turn on Schoolhouse hill and appropriate money therefor.
Article 10 .- To see what sum of money the town will vote to patrol the state road.
Article 11 .- To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.
