To the inhabitants of the Town of Walpole qualified to vote in town affairs.
You are hereby notified to meet at the Town House in said town ou Tuesday the Thirteenth Day of March next, 1923, at nine o'clock in the fore- noon to act on the following subjects:
Art. 1. To choose a Town Clerk, one Selectman for three years, Auditors, Town Treasurer, Road Agent, Collectors of Taxes, Trustee of Public Funds, Surveyors of Wood and Lumber, Fence Viewers and all other necessary officers.
Art. 2. To raise money for support of the town poor, for town library, for cemeteries, to build and repair highways and bridges and such other current and incidental expenses as may accrue.
Art. 3. To see if the town will vote to authorize its selectmen to raise money on notes of the town for current expenses on anticipation of taxes.
Art. 4. To see if the town will vote to allow a discount on taxes.
Art. 5. To see what action the town will take in regard to accepting state aid for highway maintenance and appropriate money therefor.
Art. 6. To see what amount of money the town will appropriate for state aid and trunk line maintenance.
Art. 7. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate money sufficient to oil Church Street in North Walpole and from the railroad station in Walpole to the County Road on Prospect Hill.
Art. 8. To see if the town will vote to appropriate thirty dollars for Memorial Day.
Art. 9. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate $250.00 for applying gravel on the Valley Road.
Art. 10. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate $250.00 for applying gravel on the River Road.
Art. 11. To see if the town will vote to purchase a ton truck to be used on the highways and raise and appropriate money therefor.
Art. 12. To see if the town will vote to purchase a tractor to be used on the highways and raise and appropriate money therefor.
Art. 13. To see if the town will vote to accept the legacy of the late Julia A. Wier, the sum of $100.00 for the Cemetery Fund.
Art. 14. To see what action the town will take in regard to the White Pine Blister Rust and raise and appropriate money therefor.
Art. 15. To see if the town will vote to finish resurfacing Church street with penetration road beginning at Pine street and going northerly to the beginning of the state road at Russell Hall and provide means therefor.
Art. 16. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money sufficient to resurface Depot Hill.
Art. 17. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to resurface Westminster and South Main street.
Art. 18. To see if the town will vote to raise and appropriate money to paint the town hall.
Art. 19. To see if the Town of Walpole will vote to grant a permit to druggist for the sale of liquor on a doctor's prescription for medicinal pur- poses which will be necessary before a federal permit can be obtained.
Art. 20. To see what action the town will take to provide the property of James J. Keefe located at 125 Main street, North Walpole, with a right of way suitable for the delivery of the necessaries of life and provide means therefor.
Art. 21. To see if the town will vote to purchase and erect a set of scales in Walpole village and raise and appropriate money therefor.
Art. 22. To act on a resolution requesting legislation: (1) To fix the min- imum price at which coal may be sold in any congressional district or part thereof. (2) To provide price for sales and shipments to consumers and to retailers of coal.
Art. 23. To bring in your ballots upon the question as to whether the amendment proposed by the Convention to revise the Constitution shall be approved.
Art. 24. To see if the town will vote to install electric lights in the village of Drewsville and raise money therefor.
Art. 25. To see. if the town will vote to resurface Main street in North Walpole and appropriate and raise money therefor.
Art. 26. To see if the town will vote to accept the provisions of Chapter 117, Laws of 1917, on a section of the Monadnock road. so-called, and appro- priate, or set aside from the amount raised for highway work the sum of $850.00 for this purpose.
Art. 27. To transact any other business that may legally come before said meeting.
