Sons of Temperance.
TAHANTO DIVISION, No. 6, was instituted in this town, on the 14th of January, 1847. It now numbers about 125 members. Its regular weekly meetings are on Monday evenings, at " TAHANTO HALL," opposite the Phenix Hotel.
AURORA DIVISION, No. 12, was instituted in this town on the 13th of January, 1848. It now numbers about 175 members. Its regular weekly meetings are on Wednesday evenings, at " TEMPERANCE HALL," in Dunklee's Building. This beautiful hall has been richly and tastefully finished and furnished by the Division, and is probably the finest hall used by the Order in the State.
The Order of the Sons of Temperance has taken the place of all other active Temperance organizations in town,

and it needs only to point to the many men reclaimed from the error of their ways, to the pecuniary aid it has afforded sick brothers, and to the kindness and sympathy it has extended to the suffering and afflicted, for the proofs of its efficiency and usefulness.
