A perfectly equipped institution for applying the new, strictly scientific method of inhalation-treatment which has met with such continuous and increasing success throughout Europe during the past five years.
By means of Dr. Muir's perfected type of Inhalation aparatus, solutions are atomized to the finest droplets (by actual measurement the minute globules have a diameter of 0,0003 millimetre) easily reaching the smallest ramifications of the bronchial tree (as proven by animal experiment) in the form of finely divided cool, warm or hot medicated vapors. The Call To The Profession
The establishment of the Nurses' Listed Directory means a saving of time, effort and money to physicians and nurses alike.
Through this effective medium there is placed directly before the physician twice each week infor- mation which every nurse is anx- ions that he receive, and which in the past has cost the practitioner much time and trouble to obtain.
The Directory now enables the physician to learn at a glance what reliable nurses are imme- chiately available. When nurses are needed they are usually want- ed in a hurry. There is not a busy physician in New York but has been forced to take time from his urgent cases to telephone here and there in an effort to find a nurse that he knows to be re- liable. The nurses he has hoped to obtain have been engaged and after his futile efforts he has been obliged to take some one regard- ing whose training and experi- ence of which he knows nothing.
This publication not only shows at the time of each issue whether the nurse is engaged or not, but whether he or she has been grad- uated from a reputable institu-
tion. The name of no undesirable nurse will wittingly be allowed to appear in this list. It will be sub- jected constantly to closest scru- tiny. The fact that the name ap- ¡ ears here is in itself competent testimony of fitness.
No commission or charge for employment obtained through this directory. The advantage of a service of this kind, which means so much saving in time and money, must be- apparent to nurse and physician alike. So we urge physicians to send in the names of reliable nurses that should be included here and the nurses we are sure will at once appreciate the advantage of being in this list.
Meeting such a practical use. then, the Nurses' Listed Direc- tory enters upon a field in which it cannot but receive the fullest co-operation of physicians and nurses, and it desires to thank the many able workers who have al- ready pledged it their fullest sup- port.
