NOTICE.
No letter or other mail matter will be sent from this office to places within the United States or Canada unless the postage is prepaid by stamps.
On Letters.
The inland postage (which must be prepaid) upon single letters is 3 cents ; double letters twice, and treble letters treble these rates.
Every letter or sealed parcel not exceeding half an ounce in weight is deemed a single letter, and every additional weight of half an ounce or less is charged with an additional single postage, prepaid by stamps.
City letters must be prepaid by stamps at the rate of two cents for each half oz. or less, and two cents for each additional half oz., whether delivered from the office or by the carriers.
Samples, patterns, and articles of merchandise, in packages not over 4 lbs. in weight, 1 cent per oz. or fraction thereof.
All transient books newspapers, samples, etc., must be prepaid in full, or they will not be forwarded
