Why is the Blue Book ?
There is a reason for all that endures. The Blue Book goes on from year to year, keeping pace with the social development of Toledo and neighboring ter- ritory ; and there is a reason for it.
We have city directories, telephone and other di- rectories, but none of these gives in so compact and convenient form the information given in the Blue Book.
The social connections of any one family are so many, and reach out in so many directions that she would be a wise woman indeed, and possess a mar- velous memory, who could make up a list of invita- tions without the aid of the Blue Book, and not forget some one she wouldn't have forgotten for worlds. With the Blue Book at hand such humiliating over- sights are impossible.
This is but one of the many useful purposes this publication serves. It isn't a small class publication. It isn't an exclusive publication of one small social set. Rather is it a complete family and home directory, not only of the fathers and mothers and sons and daughters of Toledo, but also of those of the nearby cities and towns which come within the same great social circle as Toledo.
This year's Blue Book is as thoroughly up to date as all its predecessors. It brings the social informa- tion of this territory up to now, preserving all of its old excellent features and adding some new ones.
And in its advertising pages you will find the same discriminating sense of the eternal fitness of things has been preserved.
