INTRODUCTORY.

E take pleasure in presenting to our patrons the GREEN- VILLE CITY AND DARKE COUNTY DIRECTORY., It has been compiled with great care and at a great expense, and we trust that upon examination it will prove correct and satisfactory. We acknowledge the uniform courtesy with which we have been treated by the business men of Greenville and Darke County, and in appreciation of the sub- stantial encouragement given us by them, we, the publishers, respectfully dedicate to them this our first Directory of Green- ville and Darke County. The book will be found invaluable in any live business house or to any business man in the county, besides the trouble it saves strangers in the city; and as a book of reference on general topics, it is not to be surpassed. It is our intention to print another Directory in 1887, more extended and varied in its contents, keeping pace with your rapidly growing city. We remain

Respectfully Yours, . RENTSCHLER & HAMILTON, Publishers.
